SafetyBuyer Achieves Cyber Essentials Certification

Building digital resilience with the same mindset we apply to safety
We’re pleased to share that SafetyBuyer is now Cyber Essentials certified - the UK Government-backed standard for protecting against the most common cyber-attacks.
Certification was achieved through IASME, the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) official delivery partner.
Cyber Essentials is more than a badge of compliance - it’s a framework designed to help organisations identify and prevent the most common cyber threats. In today’s world, where high-cost, high-impact cyber incidents make the news almost weekly, the need for vigilance, resilience, and accountability has never been greater.
Our IT Operations Manager, Dave Brunt, led the certification project and summed up the mindset behind it perfectly:
“Cyber security isn’t a side project or a technical add-on - it’s a constant, high-level responsibility, just like safety, wellbeing or fire safety. It’s not a sub-branch of IT or risk management; it’s day to day and always on. You’ve got to build it into the way you think and the way you work - because it’s here to stay.”
By achieving Cyber Essentials certification, SafetyBuyer has demonstrated that we have the key technical controls in place to protect our data, systems and customers from the most common online threats. It also reinforces our readiness to meet the growing expectations of clients and supply chain partners who value cyber resilience as much as operational performance.
We’ll continue to review and strengthen our systems each year to stay ahead of emerging threats and maintain the trust of everyone who works with us.
Cyber security. Just like safety. Everyone’s responsibility.
If you’re a local business or organisation considering Cyber Essentials - or wondering where to start - our IT Operations Manager, Dave Brunt, would be happy to have a short, informal chat to share our experience and offer a few practical pointers.
No consultancy, no strings attached - just one local business helping another to strengthen its digital defences.
